Meet Our Pharmacy Technician: Mike Betts

Mount Horeb Family Pharmacy is excited to announce the newest member of our staff has decided to migrate across town from another pharmacy to join us! Please wish Mike Betts a very warm welcome and come visit if you have the opportunity!

A Friendly Face from Down the Street

Mike grew up in Racine, Wisconsin and moved to Dane County after college. He has two sisters, six nieces and nephews, and three grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Besides family time, some of his favorite activities include cooking, eating, reading books, watching movies, and spending time on woodworking projects. 

Mike has worked in a pharmacy setting for six years. Most of his time has been spent directly with customers, which is evident in his wonderful customer service skills! Mike states he truly enjoys working and that getting to know our customers is the most rewarding part of the job. We have noticed this already in the time Mike has been with us – he’s a natural and clearly enjoys helping others.

Looking forward to a Positive change

Mike’s favorite product at his last pharmacy was the chip and candy aisle, and he is using this opportunity to find new, healthier favorites to help improve his health. (We suspect some protein powders for shakes and NOW nut mixes might be high on his list!) He is also glad to be able to walk to work from home now, and appreciates the opportunity to get more exercise. Both are healthier choices for Mike, and he is looking forward to making these two positive changes in his life. 

He likes that Mount Horeb is its own special place, with a small-town feel and so many friendly faces, yet appreciates the proximity to Madison that it affords him. He is glad he will be able to rejoin the Mount Horeb book club with a new work schedule.

Transferring your prescriptions is so easy – we take care of everything except providing your name and date of birth. We hope to see many of Mike’s favorite customers coming in the doors.
