I would give more stars if possible. Difficult to know where to start…the always friendly and helpful staff…the thorough, never rushed explanation of the drugs with time to ask any questions…the ease of covid testing and vaccines…the fact that they took over this business at the onset of the epidemic and have maintained their humor and good will…their commitment to our community. Most importantly, I’m blown away on a personal level. I’ve rarely taken pharmaceuticals in my life till a cancer diagnosis last fall. Prior to first chemo I made an appointment for a covid booster. Upon learning of my situation, they not only gave me the shot immediately (instead of waiting for appointment), but Matt sat with me for 15 mins. to talk about cancer and chemotherapy. I left feeling genuinely cared for and comforted…also with his card in order to call him if I needed anything at anytime. Who does that?!

Jennifer and her team deliver outstanding care; I have never worked with such dedicated professionals. As a physician and the Power of Attorney for Healthcare for my mother, I quickly came to rely on Mount Horeb Family Pharmacy’s expertise and core value of shared-decision making. The pharmacists were always available for us. Jennifer informed us of potential problems and helped us problem shoot; they always had an eye to keeping my mother’s medication as easy as possible but also cost conscious despite the complexity of these medications. Truly their name sums up the service provided: “FAMILY”. I am so grateful to have worked with MT Horeb Family Pharmacy and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who asks.
I recently transferred all my prescriptions to the Mount Horeb Family Pharmacy from a large chain in the same community. Since then I’ve been in three times to pick up prescriptions for myself and spouse, and each time I’ve been struck by the conscientious, attentive, extremely competent and professional demeanor of every individual I’ve encountered. My questions are answered and extra information that I wouldn’t even know to ask for is provided. I leave feeling well-informed and valued. It’s a pleasure to use their services.
I love this pharmacy! Even though it is a bit farther than I’m used to driving (and my whole family takes medication), the staff treat us like family and work hard to get all of our meds in at the same time, so I don’t have to make as many trips! I will NEVER go back to the big chain pharmacies!

Friendly local pharmacy now under new owners.
We have been using MHFP for several months now – for Covid boosters, prescriptions and scheduling other vaccinations, sometimes needing extra information and consultations. We turned to them because we heard good things from others (and still do) and because our experiences at chain retailers were really becoming so sad and frustrating. At MHFP, every single encounter, every single staff member, has been a delight. Now who says that about their pharmacy?(!) Navigating all these services and needs can be challenging sometimes – the team at MHFP is a valuable source of information and a seemingly limitless supply of good cheer in the process! Thank You!
The staff here go above and beyond. On 12/09/2022 we had a heavy, wet snowfall which I had been traveling in all day without issue. When I parked my AWD SUV to pick up a prescription, I never expected to get stuck in the snow. To complicate things, I had left my phone at home and had outpatient surgery earlier in the day. I went back into the pharmacy and asked to borrow a shovel. Without hesitation, the man behind the counter put on boots, grabbed a shovel and helped me free my stuck vehicle–and I didn’t even need a prescription. This was an act of kindness I will never forget. (Oh, and prescriptions are always filled correctly and ahead of schedule, too.)
I had used Mt Horeb Pharmacy for 20 yrs. I moved away and used another small town pharmacy. After 1 1/2 yrs they still couldn’t get things right. So I went back to Mt Horeb driving 1 1/2 hrs round trip. It has a different owner but is still amazing. They got things back in order the first month. They carry some new store items from local vendors. The service is worth driving 1 1/2 hrs. I love walking in and being greeted with smiles and kindness.
